Prepare your work for printing by saving high-quality JPEG files with an embedded color profile.
- Export files tagged with an RGB Color Profile—P3, Adobe RGB, and sRGB are all great options.
- We recommend saving your files at a JPEG quality of 10 or higher in Photoshop, 90% in Lightroom, or the equivalent in your editing tool.
- Most products are printed at 300 DPI, and we’ll automatically resize your files for printing. For more precise control, you can resize your files and apply any sharpening before submitting.

White Base Metal Prints have a smooth, opaque coating that produces bright, vivid colors similar to traditional photo prints. This option is best for portraits, nature photography, and any image where accurate skin tones matter. White base is our most popular choice.
Clear Base Metal Prints allow the raw brushed aluminum texture to show through lighter areas of your image, creating a metallic, industrial look. This works beautifully for automotive photography, cityscapes, architecture, and black-and-white images.
We offer three finish options: High Gloss, Semi-Gloss, and Matte. High Gloss provides maximum reflection and color vibrancy—ideal for bold, eye-catching displays. Metallic printing refers to the process of printing images onto metal surfaces, typically aluminum. At WHCC, we use dye sublimation—a process where heat and pressure transfer your image directly into the aluminum coating, creating a permanent, vibrant print.
The term "metallic printing" can also refer to metallic photo papers, but true Metal Prints offer superior durability and a distinctive luminous quality that paper-based metallic prints cannot match.
Metal Prints and metal posters refer to the same type of product—images printed on aluminum sheets. "Metal poster" is often used for artwork, graphics, and decorative pieces, while "metal print" typically describes photographic prints on metal.

We offer several hanging options to suit your style. Float Mounts create a clean, modern look with your print appearing to float off the wall. Metal Posts provide an industrial aesthetic with standoffs at each corner. Inset Metal Frames offer a contemporary floating profile with the frame set back from the edge.
Smaller prints can include easel backs for tabletop display or magnet backs for refrigerator mounting. All hanging hardware arrives pre-installed—simply mount the needed bracket to your wall and hang.
Metal Prints are easy to maintain. For routine cleaning, use a soft, lint-free microfiber cloth to gently wipe the surface. For fingerprints or smudges, lightly dampen the cloth with water or a mild glass cleaner.
Avoid abrasive cleaners, paper towels, or rough cloths that could scratch the surface. Never use ammonia-based cleaners on metal prints, as they can damage the coating over time.
Standard Metal Prints are designed for indoor display. However, our Exterior Metal Prints feature a specialized UV-resistant coating that withstands direct sunlight and outdoor conditions without fading.
Exterior Metal Prints have the same vibrant appearance as our High Gloss White Base option but with enhanced durability for outdoor signage, patio displays, or studio windows exposed to direct sun.
Metal prints are available in sizes from 4×6" up to 40×60". We offer standard sizes including popular options like 8×10", 11×14", 16×20", 20×30", 24×36", and many more.

Metal Prints and Canvas Prints offer distinctly different aesthetics. Metal prints have a modern, vibrant look with luminous colors and sharp detail—ideal for contemporary spaces and bold imagery. Canvas prints have a classic, artistic feel with a textured surface that softens images slightly.
Metal prints are more durable and moisture-resistant, making them better for kitchens, bathrooms, or commercial spaces. Canvas works well in traditional settings where a gallery-wrapped, painterly look is desired.
